- Helps stroke client’s ego
Why is it a good service to sell?
- Recurring revenue
- Pairs great with SEO and web design services
- Guaranteed to get client results (pretty much - exception could be if they don’t have happy customers)
What do you do for reputation management?
- Requesting reviewssome text
- Typically done via text (as this is best CTR)
- Can use email as second option to request review, but has lower CTR
- Client can send out link manually
- Can also use SMS service/systemsome text
- Textedly is a good option for an SMS service
- Make sure clients know opt in laws for contacting clients via SMS
- Funneling reviewssome text
- Text message to client with link to leave a review
- Takes client to branded page that you create with button to leave a review some text
- Build up on a separate domain
- E.g. paitreviews.com/client-name
- Create a page on this site for every client (clonable web template available in resources)
- This way you retain control of the reputation management and can close out the service (by shutting down the page) if the client ceases service with you
- Customize each page (logo, meta data, link)
- Takes client to review platform of choice (Google, Facebook, etc.)
- Make sure that funnel is branded for the client
- Also needs to be direct review request link so all the client has to do is enter in review (don’t add additional steps!)
- Use direct review link in Google My Business, can also use datapid using inspect tool in Chrome
- Training clients on how to get new reviewssome text
- Your job is to make sure your client adopts the system as part of their client process
- Make sure clients:some text
- Send out review link immediately after client leaves their business
- Follows up with clients the day after sending the link
- Replies to reviews on Google
- Everyone in the business adopts this process
- Reportsome text
- Keep it simple! Can be monthly email showing how many reviews they got this month
How much should you charge for this service?
- Most of the time this can be done on a monthly recurring basis
- $50-200/month, depending on work required with this client (e.g. number of locations, additional requests, etc.)
- Can also charge a one time fee for $1000.
- Also can offer a review funnel as additional bonus during sales process
- Can also use it as an intro offer to build rapport
Tricks of the Trade
- Filtering reviewssome text
- Many companies send clients a link that asks “Were you satisfied with you service you received?” and depending on the answer provided, takes them to the review page (if they were satisfied) or a private feedback page (if they weren’t satisfied)
- Recently Google came out and said they don’t like this, so don’t recommend offering filtered reviews as a service
- Reminder textsome text
- Second text messages are clicked 3x more than first text message (first text message clicked about 20% of time)
- SMS permission lawssome text
- Make sure your clients understand that you can’t send texts to people who haven’t opted in to receive them
- You can protect yourself by including clause in your service agreement that you are not liable for who your clients text
- “I got a bad review”some text
- This can be a good thing! A positive response to a bad review by the business instills trust for future customers looking at reviews online
